Keep your skills up-to-date with the Jarvis National Breast Centre Education and Training Centre

We offers postgraduate education and training to clinical staff of all levels working in the specialist fields of breast screening, diagnosis, and treatment. Our programmes are delivered by experienced clinical professionals at the Jarvis Education Centre in collaboration with the Royal Free NHS London Foundation Trust and St George's University of London.

Mammography Associate Apprenticeship (MAA)

8 - 12 Months full time apprenticeship

The Mammography Associate Apprenticeship was developed to address the national skills shortage in Radiography and Mammography. Upon successful completion, the resultant qualification will be a Level 4 Apprenticeship certificate.

Advanced Breast Practice MSc

The Advanced Breast Practice MSc provides the opportunity and support for Mammographers to develop into the role of Consultant Mammographers and Advanced Practitioners. Breast Clinicians and Specialist Breast Care Nurses are also supported by our modules to continue developing their clinical skills and standalone modules are also available.

Level 5 Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship (Health) – Specialising in Mammography

Led by the University of Bolton in conjunction with three of the national training centres. This combined foundation degree and apprenticeship is suitable for existing Mammography Associates and Assistant Practitioners that demonstrate the potential to take on the greater challenges of the Assistant Practitioner role.

18–24-month full time apprenticeship, intakes will be in September and January.
